Woodbine Physiotherapy
"You are taken care of"

Pelvic floor muscles are important for supporting pelvic organs, controlling continence, providing core stability and supporting sexual function.  With pelvic dysfunction, signs and symptoms may included incontinence, constipation, organ prolapse, pain in pelvic area (vestibulodynia, vulvodynia, dyspareunia/painful intercourse, vaginismus, chronic pelvic pain syndrome) and conditions such as painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, and chronic non-bacterial prostatitis in men.  People of all ages and gender can experience pelvic dysfunction.

Pelvic health physiotherapy is a conservative, non-surgical treatment for pelvic dysfunction.  At Woodbine Physiotherapy, your therapist uses a holistic approach to address your concern.  Treatment techniques may include postural correction, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, internal and external soft tissue techniques, pain education and behavioural modification advice.  Your therapist is trained for internal palpation, to provide accurate assessment and instructions for your conditions.

For New mothers, we provide personalized preventative intervention through therapeutic exercises, education and recommendations to lower the risk of conditions such as incontinence, pelvic and lower back pain.
